UX ENGAGEMENT LEAD: My approach is highly collaborative. I mentor and direct multidisciplinary UX teams. I envision, plan, design, and test delightfully people-centric digital products. I help establish and embed UX practices within organizations.
DIGITAL PROJECT MANAGER: I manage and motivate multidisciplinary digital project teams with a focus on quality and continuity. I organize people, track budgets, and maintain long and short timelines for websites and online software projects. I fully understand (and have done) many of the tasks and deliverables on successful digital design projects. I'm a seasoned client relationship manager who specializes diplomacy and happy clients. But I won't hesitate to protect my teams from clients who behave in destructive ways to people and projects.
RESEARCH LEAD: I can lead large formal lab research projects or lean, guerilla-style usability studies and product research. I do contextual user interviews, user testing, ethnographic studies, follow-alongs, focus groups, and intercept interviews.

CONTENT STRATEGIST: I work with my clients to develop all the elements that make good content possible: structured content systems, user-centric content, tonality development, governance plans, editorial standards, style guides, editorial calendars, and best-practice guides. I specialize in naming brands, products, and programs. I provide strategic storytelling, messaging, and writing services. I also lead content training workshops and classes. ADJUNCT FACULTY AT SANTA MONICA COLLEGE: I teach as part of SMC's groundbreaking bachelor's degree program in Interaction Design. My course, Introduction to UX, gives students the basics of the UX process and teaches them how to cultivate a UX mindset. I challenge my students to see the world as a place that should and can be user-centric. A user-centered designer understands the ethics and environmental sustainability of design and technology.
